New Member Experience

The Phi Program – This eight-week new member program enhances the Phi Mu Experience by helping new members transition into Fraternity membership.  The online component includes an orientation, expectations of membership and journal prompts which help our new members begin their lifetime involvement in Phi Mu.  The online modules in partnership with Phi meetings provide new members with the framework for personal, academic, social and professional growth.  

Why Phi Mu
           Phi Mu Fraternity is an organization that has impacted my life in so many ways. It has
encouraged me to take opportunities, build friendships that I would have never put effort into
making, and it has helped me learn from decisions that I have made, for better or worse, but
Phi Mu has also helped me make wise decisions.
           Somebody once told me the key to a happy life is to find these 3 things: someone to
look up to, something to look forward to, and something to chase. Phi Mu has given me just
that. Phi Mu has given me role models from women in our local chapter to women who serve
on our national executive committee. Being a part of Phi Mu is always having some kind of
event on my calendar, whether it’s a movie night with sisters, a social event, a Philanthropy
event, or it’s recruitment week, Phi Mu is always giving me something to look forward to doing.
Phi Mu has blessed me with so many opportunities but it has also inspired me to chase dreams
that I never thought were possible because of the confidence I have built throughout my time
in Phi Mu.
            I’ve had the opportunity to talk and socialize with sisters from all around but these
women are not just my friends, they are my sisters. Phi Mu offers rare, extraordinary
opportunities. Phi Mu has given me the opportunity to attend events like Phi Mu Leadership
Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, Phi Mu Officer Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, and Phi Mu National
Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
